Paul D. Wilson | Fine Oil Portraits
Upon graduation from the Professional Institute of Art in Maryland, Paul D. Wilson began his career in advertising where he was quickly promoted to art director. Proficient in oils and airbrush illustration, his work has appeared in many newspapers and magazines, and as commissioned works of art in the homes of many clients across the country.
While living in Los Angeles for the past seventeen years, his artistic talent expanded into the Hollywood community in the form of writing, directing, and producing short films and documentaries, as well as appearing in over 50 television commericals. In November 2005, Paul and his wife, Lyn, bought a farm, and moved to Asheville, NC with their two horses, cats and dogs.
"I'm at a point in my life where it's time to focus on the kind of art I've always been compelled to create. Most of my work as of late has come in the form of commissioned oil portraits. I find it to be the most gratifying kind of work because you're not only creating a painting, but a memory that can be passed down from generation to generation."
Portraits can be created from your favorite photograph. If you don't have a photograph, I can arrange to have one taken.

- As far as pricing, I like to work with my clients in terms of their budget and my costs.
- Shipping is no problem. I pack the portrait myself and use the most dependable carrier.
